Environmental Policies
The environment is very important to us! We practice “sustainable” environmental practices by:
· Providing annual and perennial plants that contribute to the “global greening” process.
· Growing in bio-degradable fiber pots and moss baskets
· Re-using/recycling plastic pots and trays.
· Recycling used soil into our gardens and compost.
· Limiting our use of herbicides and pesticides.
· Using drip irrigation where possible to conserve water and reduce run-off.

Annuals
We strive to grow and sell plants that have the best genetics in the horticultural industry. We purchase plant material from the best suppliers in the industry and carefully select varieties that enable our customers to experience the best results possible once plants leave our greenhouses. We offer a wide selection of varieties from Proven Winners (PW), Proven Selections (PS), Athens Select, Danzinger and Selecta First Class. All have superior genetics.
We offer many different and unusual varieties not found elsewhere in the Tri-State area along with elegantly designed hanging gardens and large “Instant Gratification” mixed flowering containers.
Perennials
We grow the largest selection of perennials in the Tri-State area: 350+ varieties of new and unusual along with the “Top 25” most popular and requested varieties.
Ornamental Grasses
We grow the largest selection of perennial grasses specifically selected for the N.E. Iowa, S.W. Wisconsin and N.E. Illinois temperate zone. We offer 90+ varieties of grasses grown in large, 1 ½ gallon containers for an entire growing season before they are sold. We allow this extra growing time to ensure that our customers receive a large, mature plant that will perform extraordinarily well once planted in the landscape.
